My name is Kim Warren, I began my career in the fitness industry in 1988. I have been a guest on “Fitness Can Be fun” with Tom Owens. I have been a demonstrator for fitness equipment at several home and garden shows for Wright Weight Equipment. I became a Certified Personal Trainer in February of 2002 through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I have taught strength training at First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove’s Family Life Center for eight years before joining Fitness 1440 in 2010. I specialize in lifestyle and weight management, senior adult fitness, special conditions, and nutrition. I would love to work with you to help you reach your fitness goals and have a healthier lifestyle!
I studied Public Relations at the University of Alabama. I have always been passionate about training and fitness. It has always been a dream of mine to be a Strength and Conditioning Coach. I’ve been training and coaching at Fitness 1440 for two years. I started a functional training class a year and a half ago and it has developed into CrossFit Hueytown. I have trained and coached people from all walks of life and physical abilities. I have coached athletes, gymnastics, football players, marathon runners, crossfitters and rehabilitated a client from a full knee replacement. I specialize in resolving pain, injury prevention and optimizing athletic performance. I am certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), CrossFit Level 1 Coach, CrossFit Mobility & Body maintenance Trainer, and USA Weighlifting Level 1 Sports performance Coach.
I’m 21 years old, and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer here at Fitness 1440 in Hueytown. I have attended this gym for 4 1/2 years and loved it ever since I first stepped inside. I started weight training after my ACL/meniscus reconstructive surgery in 2009, as soon as my physical therapy was wrapping up. I’ve been an athlete all my life, playing soccer and running track and cross country, so it’s no surprise that I enjoy intense training to keep my competitive fire going. I am currently in college at UAB; working on my bachelors degree in kinesiology. Training and being active is a huge part of my life and I rarely walk in the gym dreading a workout. I hope to spread my passion for fitness to as many people as possible and show that health should be an important priority for everyone.
