FITNESS 1440 AQUATICS PROGRAMS
Our water aerobics classes are offered every day of the week in the mornings and evenings, except for Friday and Saturday evenings and on Sundays. They consist of aerobic exercises in fairly shallow water. The exercises are mostly cardio intense and do not require the ability to swim. They are fun, up-beat classes which are mostly done to up-beat music which is geared to aerobic and cardio exercise in the water. Water noodles and water dumbbells are often utilized in the classes.
Silver Splash – water aerobics classes are taught by instructors who have completed the appropriate training and certification. The classes offer fun, shallow-water movement which improves agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. A SilverSneakers kickboard or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination.
Swimming Lessons – one on one classes are offered for both adults and children. The instructors have a long history of success in making all students comfortable and competent in both shallow and deep water. For more information contact Kelly Keating… 404-316-1850 firstname.lastname@example.org.
Aqua Zumba – Our newest offering is Aqua Zumba which combines some of the traditional elements of aqua fitness classes (such as jumping jacks and cross-country skiing) with the upbeat, Latin-infused dance moves and music.
Hot Tub – Soaking in a hot tub can bring many health benefits. In fact, the word “spa” is an acronym for the Latin “salus per aquam”, which literally means “health from water.” Ancient cultures – including the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans – used spas for therapy and relaxation.
