Michael has been a member of Fitness:1440 since we opened in May of 2014, and has been attending the gym since 2008! His passion for exercise began as a child through sports then excelled into weight -training the summer of 2013. When Michael decided he wanted to get stronger and get bigger. His goal was to provide others with the knowledge of exercise and diet that helped him change his life dramatically and reach his goals. In 2017 weighing 280 pounds, he made a life changing decision to improve his overall health and become more functionally fit. By incorporating proper exercise with the right technique and diet, he was able to lose 70 pounds in less then 6 months. Being an experienced Personal Trainer with a background in weight management and weight-training, Michael is looking forward to working with you!<\/p>\n

Venessa earned a degree in Exercise Science from Washington State University in 2010. Her passion and knowledge in exercise physiology and biomechanics have played a major role in developing the skills necessary to create fun, yet functional exercises for a variety of populations. Venessa is also a mom to three kids and has a skill set in training expectant and postpartum moms so they can exercise safely. Venessa knows firsthand the struggle of making time for exercise day to day. Her high intensity interval training (HIIT) classes like Boot Camp and Tabata provide excellent environments for increasing muscle definition, fat burning and cardiovascular endurance in a short amount of time. \u201cI look forward to helping you reach your health goals at Fitness 1440!\u201d<\/p>\n

My fitness journey started right here at the little gym here in Lebanon. I needed to lose 60-70lbs and I was tired of not being comfortable in my own skin. I started taking classes here and it wasn\u2019t long till the gym members became my second family. I took all the classes and worked out downstairs for 3 years and it became just part of my lifestyle. After taking classes and keeping my weight off I was offered an instructing position just twice a week. At first I was very nervous and reluctant but decided I would like to help others the way I had been helped. I was already taking the classes so why not! My goal is for people to see anyone can make a lifestyle change and keep it off. Be persistent and never give up! There is no quick fix; this is not a diet but a lifestyle. I love our members and that is why I am here. My 5:00 am class is part of my gym family.
I have lived in Lebanon my entire life. I am very happily married and have 2 wonderful girls. I also work 3 days a week in Eugene. I am lab technician and assistant and make oral a facial prosthetics. I love both of my jobs or I call them hobbies. Both jobs help make me part of who I am today. I also enjoy playing soccer on a coed team in Corvallis, and coach little kid\u2019s soccer with my husband. My last but not least other love is running. I run at least 20 miles a week. I feel very blessed to be a part of fitness 1440. \u2013 Natalie<\/p>\n

Leah has a passion for fun, and she finds that in group exercise. As a long time member of the gym, she was inspired to take that step in being a Certified Indoor Cycling Instructor, and Mixxedfit Instructor. \u201cOne morning, many moons ago, I had a friend talk me into getting up at 4:30am to go to Zumba, and I have been hooked on group fitness every since! Being in a group class environment provides structure, support, relationships, and most definitely a few laughs and good times.\u201d The motto she lives by is, \u201cYou\u2019ll never regret it when you do it, but you\u2019ll always regret it when you don\u2019t\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kathleen has a passion for dance and for making people smile! She loves to be outside, and loves to be around her husband and daughter!\u00a0 She started out taking Zumba and Jam Fitness with Erica as a member and fell in love with dance and fitness. After about four years of taking Erica\u2019s class, she wanted to share the same passion for dance and fitness! With the support of her family and Leah they talked her into becoming a Mixxedfit instructor. Kathleen has been teaching for almost a year now, and she would love to have you in class where she can promise to make you sweat, have fun, and smile! Breanne\u2019s love of cycling followed shortly after her mother introduced her to indoor cycling 7 years ago. She immediately fell in love with the group fitness atmosphere and the challenge of the class. \u201cIndoor cycling has helped me a lot mentally and physically. An added bonus- it\u2019s a fun way to get that cardio in!\u201d After being a regular participant at Fitness 1440 classes, she received her certification the summer of 2018 and has been teaching ever since. \u201cMy hope is to bring a level of excitement and challenge to my classes to make it a fun workout atmosphere for everyone\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jamie has spent the last 20 years exploring ways to change mindsets around healthy living. She helps individuals find a revived sense of motivation to maintain focus on personal goals and cultivate a healthier lifestyle. Jamie fell in love with yoga during a quest to improve her own health. Throughout her journey, she always found comfort on her yoga mat and enjoyed cultivating new methods to explore the mind and body connection. Jamie has practiced yoga since 1992 and began instructing yoga in 2018 after completion of the 200-hour yoga teacher training at Live Well Studio. She is an E-RYT 200 (Experience Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance. Jamie received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from Oregon State University. She enjoys infusing her classes with fun dynamic movements to create a unique challenge for individuals at all fitness levels. Jamie believes that yoga is for everyone and every body. She teaches inclusive classes that meet individuals where they are along their individual journeys.<\/p>\n

Marcia is 72 years old; a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She feels better now than when she was younger and loves to help others feel better and stronger. Marcia came to Lebanon about 11 years ago from Fairbanks, Alaska where she lived for 40 years. She was a Bank Teller for 20 years and was not very active otherwise. One day a friend invited her to Curves gym and she was hooked! When Curves closed Marcia and many friends she made switched to Fitness:1440 and has been at this location for 10 years now! Marcia started participating in Silver Sneakers and Zumba Gold classes to get moving. She also used the Cardio room to help build endurance. Marcia became certified through Silver Sneakers to keep the class going and also teach BOOM move! The Silver Sneakers class Marcia teaches now is like a family. \u201cWe watch out for each other and really care about each other. The classes are tons of fun and many love the social experience as well.\u201d Classes range from ages 40-92 and out motto is \u201cJust Keep Moving!\u201d Marcia looks forward to seeing everyone at each class!<\/p>\n
